Do you myspace?

Myspace, what is all the fuss about.
Well if you have been living under a rock then you will not have heard about
Myspace.  It is the newest revolution to hit the internet and it has taken
it by storm.
With over 80 million users worldwide and recently sold for $350 million
dollars, this surely is one successful site.  There are several other sites
that have started up to try and mimic this great site but none has had the
success that Myspace has. There are even people that are selling Myspace
accounts on ebay for over $100 each, although this is against the T.O.S, they
seem to be able to get away with is.
Anyone with an email can register and then share their profiles, pictures,
videos and mostly music with all their friends.  Once you register you get
your own myspace site to promote and you can customize the look and feel of it,
add graphics and change the whole layout. You can even add your own blog and
share your day with all the new friends that you meet.  There are loads of
websites popping up that offer free myspace codes that will help you make your
profile look great, you can even find sites that will let you add flash games to
your profile.  The more interesting that you can make your profile the more
friends you will get.
You can also use myspace to promote yourself, this has been done very well by
several bands.  In the UK a band called "The Arctic Monkeys", managed to
propel themselves to stardom without a record contract just using myspace
promotion and Gnarls Barkley have just been the first band in British chart
history to get a number one with online downloads alone.
If you are trying to market an internet site then you can also leverage the
power of Myspace.  There are groups that you can browse with people
interested in just about every subject you can think of.  So no matter what
Niche you are trying to target you will find people who share your interest. 
You can add links to your site in your profile and drive plenty of interested
free traffic to your website.  You are also allowed to post comments on
other peoples profiles so you can post a link to your website and gain the
benefits of free targeted traffic.
So if you have not had the chance to check out Myspace yet then I strongly
suggest that you take a look and maybe get a grip on what your teenage kids may
be talking about with their friends.  There is a great opportunity to meet
people or just ,market your websites.
